Pulp’in named #1 video personalization software

Morgan Druesne · CTO Pulp’in 6 min read

Twenty-eight video personalization tools reviewed. Only one comes out first.

In September 2026, iTechGuides updated its directory of video personalization software. Pulp’in ranks #1, with the highest editorial score in the category: 9.4/10. Gan.AI follows at 9.2. BHuman at 9.0. Idomoo and SundaySky, two long-standing enterprise names, sit at 8.8 and 8.7.

What makes the news nice is the way it arrived. The editors did not need to ask us anything: they opened our pages, read our pricing line by line, kept what they could verify and left out the rest. Twenty-eight products through the same filter. Our page was rechecked on 22 September 2026.

A spot nobody bought

Paid placements do exist at iTechGuides: they carry a “Featured” label. Ours says “Top ranked”, and the site still offers that spot for sponsorship, to anyone who would want to take it. That is the kind of recognition a product team enjoys: the one you did not ask for.

What the 9.4 rewards

iTechGuides scores three things: how well the tool covers the category’s core job, what the entry plan actually includes, and where it falls short based on what the vendor publishes. The job, here, is producing individualized videos at scale. Not recording one video and pasting a first name on it.

That is exactly where Pulp’in takes the lead, and the line that moved us most is the shortest one on the page: a Smart Stories platform for data-driven video personalization. That is what we have been trying to build since day one, summed up in one sentence by someone who did not know us. The “best for” they kept is also the broadest in the category: teams that need wide personalization, wired to their own data.

The three strengths they noted

Dynamic scenes

The video adapts to the person

Scenes and calls to action change with recipient data. Not one frozen file pushed to the whole base, but a story built for each person.

Ingestion

All your data gets in

CRM, catalog, website, PDF, contact files. The editors single out the range of sources: that is what lets you tell more than a first name.

Integrations

Wide delivery, signal back

13 integrations, plus web, API, and self-hosting. Email, SMS, QR code, link. Engagement signals flow back into the connected tools automatically.

Integrations named: Shopify, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce, Brevo, Microsoft 365, Pipedrive, Lemlist, Outreach, Apollo, Slack, Zapier, and Calendly. Cloud or self-hosted deployment, GDPR compliance. On the category comparison table, Pulp’in is the only row showing dynamic scenes, personalized CTAs, API access and five data import methods at once.

An accessible entry, scored as such

iTechGuides also looks at what you get without negotiating. The trial includes one template, 100 views a month, no watermark and no credit card: the editors explicitly note that accessible entry tier. Monthly plans start at €19 for the real estate template, €69 for Sales, €89 for e-commerce and other industries, with 10,000 views a month. The €290 e-commerce pack opens several templates. The Custom plan adds unlimited views, a brand URL, dedicated or on-premise hosting, and custom template development.

A template is a campaign scenario. Plans are built around that scenario, and the editors say it plainly: several stories in parallel means one tier up. We are fine with that, because it matches what we sell. You pay for a campaign that runs, not for a stock of pre-rendered videos aging in a folder.

The category mixes two families. On one side, generated sales video: a face, a voice, an outreach message. On the other, video built from the recipient’s data: their scenes, their numbers, their choices. Number one sits in the second family, ahead of players established for more than a decade.

A Smart Story is not an avatar reading a script. It is a template filled at the moment of playback. The person watches, chooses, answers. The signal returns to the tool already connected, instead of stopping at an open rate.

Send three rows of your file. You get your Smart Story, in your brand.

What it changes when you choose a tool

If the need is a campaign wired to the CRM, the catalog, or a contact file, with scenes that change per person and a signal that comes back into Klaviyo, HubSpot, or Salesforce, that is exactly the criterion on which Pulp’in ranks first. If the need is a cloned salesperson sending prospecting videos, the same ranking places Gan.AI and BHuman just behind, for a different job.

The pages are public, and take five minutes to read: the ranking of 28 tools, the Pulp’in review, and the editorial policy explaining how the score stays independent from paid placements.

Rankings move: the score is recalculated as soon as plans change, and that is exactly how it should be. What we really care about is the moment after. The one where you open your first Smart Story and recognize your own customers inside it. Three rows of your file are enough to see it.

Frequently asked questions

No, and that is exactly what made us happy. Paid placements exist at iTechGuides: they carry a “Featured” label and push the tools below them down. Our row says “Top ranked”, and the site still offers that spot for sponsorship. The 9.4/10 and the first place out of 28 tools, in September 2026, come from the editors.

On coverage of the category’s core job, producing individualized videos at scale, on what the entry plan really includes, and on the limits published by the product itself. The editors work from official pages: pricing, plans, documentation. Anything they cannot verify is left out rather than guessed.

The breadth of the personalization. Scenes and calls to action that adapt to recipient data, five import methods (CRM, catalog, website, PDF, contact files), 13 integrations, an API, web and self-hosting, and engagement signals flowing back to connected tools. It is the most complete row on the category comparison table.

It places Pulp’in first for broad, data-driven personalization, ahead of established enterprise players. The AI presenter platforms for prospecting, Gan.AI and BHuman, come just after for a different use: a cloned salesperson sending outreach videos.

In under 20 minutes, with an existing template and three rows of your file. The trial includes one template, 100 views a month, no watermark and no credit card.
